It’s officially fall, y’all! And with fall comes Texas patio weather and our favorite flavors. To kick off the season, we’re rounding up our top pumpkin-flavored donuts in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Enjoy these orange sweets now through Thanksgiving.

#4: Shipley Do-Nuts

Shipley was early to the pumpkin game by first offering their seasonal donuts back in August. We sampled the mini pumpkin spice donut with vanilla icing and highly recommend the upgrade.

#3: Jarams Donuts

Jarams is best known for their cronuts, and this season they’re serving up pumpkin butter, pumpkin cookie butter, fig butter, and even autumn spice on a funnel cake donut (DROOL). Their pumpkin cake donut with icing is not to be overlooked though.

#2: The Donut Kitchen

For only selling cake donuts, the Donut Kitchen will pleasantly surprise you with moist and tasty treats. The pumpkin spice special debuted last weekend and is covered with caramel icing and cream cheese frosting, then topped with crushed ginger snaps. While you’re there, get your hands on a plain pumpkin spice donut with cinnamon sugar coating or the cinnamon roll vanilla cake donut. If pumpkin’s not your thing, caramel apple donuts are available for special orders.

#1: Top Pot Doughnuts

We  everything about Top Pot and consider their vanilla old fashioned the best in the metroplex. Add in pumpkin flavors and you’ve hit the dessert jackpot. Don’t forget to order a pumpkin spice latte to accompany your donut! Way better than #PSL peddled by Starbucks.

Honorable Mentions

Glazed Donut Works

Did you know Glazed was recently named one of the top 10 spots to satisfy a sweet tooth in Dallas? Right now their store is under construction for building and equipment upgrades BUT you’ll be able to get your hands on their pumpkin cream cheese donut on 10/2. How so? Reserve your seat at their October Edition donut and beer pairing event in collaboration with Luck at Trinity Groves: for $18, you get a flight of honey bun bite, sweet potato marshmallow, pumpkin cream cheese, and churro with cajeta drizzle paired with compatible brews.

Earnest Donuts

Based on our past experience with Earnest Donuts, you’ll want to make the trek up to Lewisville for any of their stuff. Earnest will begin offering pumpkin donuts not this weekend, but next. For now, their pumpkin flavor will only be sold on Saturdays and Sundays.

Hypnotic Donuts

Hypnotic Donuts is another solid shop in Dallas and Denton. We’re told the pumpkin donuts won’t be sold until the month of October.
