Sorry, no Dunkin’ love here! According to Boston Magazine, Kane’s has the best Boston donuts in 2018.

  • Do-Rite Donuts: Locations in Streeterville and the West Loop. Don’t miss their chicken sandwiches too.
  • Doughnut Vault: Make sure you go early! DV is a tiny shop that often sells out quickly.
  • Firecakes: I’m personally partial to their old fashioned donuts. They also have ice cream donut sandwiches! You can even book Billy the Truck for private events.
  • Gurnee Donuts: Must check out their ube donuts!
  • Stan’s Donuts: Try Le Stan, a huge croissant donut, the Biscoff pocket, or their old fashioned varieties. Several locations throughout Chicago. Also located in LA.
  • West Town Bakery: Red velvet is one of their most popular donut flavors.
  • Back Dough from Chef Tim Love: Find it at Love Burger Shack in the Fort Worth Stockyards or Queenie’s Steakhouse in Denton.
  • Dough Boy Donuts: Former food truck and Fort Worth shop now in Burleson. All solid flavors, but my personal favorite may be the Sriracha Maple Bacon.
  • Earnest Donuts: Trust me, just go. Unique flavors and custom donut options, including sushi donuts. (Lewisville, TX)
  • FunkyTown Donuts Be on the lookout for their second location opening in Sundance Square in summer 2018. Later hours and alcohol options. (Fort Worth, TX)
  • Glazed Donut Works Formerly open late-nights, this Deep Ellum shop is now only doing occasional pop-ups. Follow along their Instagram account for the latest. And try their red velvet and donut pudding with whisky when you can! (Deep Ellum neighborhood in Dallas)
  • Hypnotic Donuts: Peace-stachio is my personal favorite! Don’t miss their chicken biscuits or their occasional donut and beer pairing events either… (East Dallas)
  • Jarams: Croissant donuts are a must! (Far North Dallas & Lakewood in Dallas)
  • Milk-Cream: Ice cream donut sandwiches FTW. Get it glazed or unglazed with your choice of toppings. (Dallas)
  • Momo’s Donuts: Located in Sherman, but they deliver to Dallas every weekend. Known for their strawberries ‘n cream donut. My favorite may just be the carrot cake. No joke, this is where body builders go for post-show treats.
  • Shipley Do-Nuts (franchise)

  • Cinotti’s Bakery: Family-owned and operated. People talk about their pumpkin donuts!
  • Good Dough: Coffee and artisanal donuts made from scratch (Brioche yeast style). All flavors look good, but check out their fun hybrids like Avocado Dough-oast and Fried Chicken Doughwhich.
  • Urban Bean Coffeehouse: Unique flavors that are baked, not fried, in-house (Orange Park)

*DTLA hosted an LA Donut Festival at Union Station in June 2018. We heard there were a few kinks. Will they return next year?

  • BoSa Donuts: Several locations throughout the Phoenix area
  • Donut Parlor (Tempe)
